Some photos and comments from our travels around Calderdale with a few posts from further afar. We're not experts in either photography or wildlife but thoroughly enjoy both! Feel free to leave comments and ID anything we can't, or get wrong! :O)

Opportunist
Not as exciting as watching my girl ride a pedal bike for the first time, which is what we were out for, but managed to sneak a few wildlife shots inbetween the excitment as we walked along the bike track at Salterhebble....
Wren which was singing it's heart out in the tree above.
Peacock butterfly sunning itself on the wall.

Elland Gravel Pits
Had a quick stroll round EGP this afternoon with my lad, a few of the highlights below....
Image quality not too good today due to poor light and trying to snap while keeping up with the boy on his bike.

Our Frog friend
Finally snapped the little frog in our garden pond today, he's (I'm presuming it's a he...) a bit camera shy, and generally ducks under water when we pass by.
We did have 2 more frogs in the pond but they died over the winter :O(

Filey Bay and Bempton Cliffs
Headed to the East Coast with the family last weekend, a few snaps whilst fossil hunting at Filey Bay and on a visit to the RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs...
Ryburn Reservoir
Passing Ryburn Reservoir on the way back from Rishworth Moor...
Lots of young fish trying to swim upstream, no idea about fish maybe someone could ID them?
Bluebells starting to bloom.
This Heron landed along side the Reservoir only to be attacked by a Crow!
